Exploring Panthertown Valley

We are so lucky to be located right next to this amazing national forest area with easy access from Sapphire Valley. Designated as a Blue Ridge Hertitage Area, Panthertown Valley is a 6,295 acre recreation area within the Nantahala National Forest, located on the eastern continental divide.

Panthertown contains thirty miles of U.S. Forest Service officially designated trails. Often called the "Yosemite of the East," this amazing nature perserve offers, hiking, camping, equestrian trails, waterfalls, rare high elevation bogs, huge rock faces, and flora and fauna found no where else on earth.
